SETTING UP NEW COMPUTERS (Help from an expert can save you money and trouble in the future)

Opening the boxes and inspecting the contents (You would not believe the times I have been told, "The computer did not come with any disks"). Most do and they occasionally get lost or thrown out. New users are usually unfamiliar with what should be included. If you did not get disks with it, the book should include instructions on making your own or ordering them from the manufacturer.

Printers and scanners come with additional software that most users are not aware of. Getting a device working correctly required a lot of experience prior to Windows XP. Now almost anyone can add new stuff.
